Mason Markovich Drops League-Best Performance on Thursday
Starting off the list is Glenwood Springs's Mason Markovich, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markovich's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards dating back to last season. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
Glenwood Springs' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Markovich's next matchup is against Rifle on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

A Season-Best Performance from Easton Embrey Leads Palisade over Rifle
Easton Embrey produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Palisade to the win on Friday. Embrey rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory was the third in a row for Palisade, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Embrey and Palisade will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Steamboat Springs at 6:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Keaden Lake Turns in Season-Best Performance
Keaden Lake produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Eagle Valley to the win on Thursday. Lake picked up 208 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 89 yards.
Eagle Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. Lake and Eagle Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rifle at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Kaleb Reed Makes It Two for Palisade
The second Palisade player making an appearance here is Kaleb Reed, and for good reason. He rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
This year, Reed has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 27 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging seven rushing yards per game.
