Celina came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Defiance as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering Celina has won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Celina's win bumped their record up to 11-3-3. As for Defiance, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-16-1.

Looking ahead, Celina will be taking part in a tournament against Shawnee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Defiance, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Bowling Green on the 13th.
