The Boise Brave will head out on the road to square off against the Middleton Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boise is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Centennial hit Boise with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Brave came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-2.

Boise saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Newbery, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Newbery is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Middleton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Timberline on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Wolves. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Al Wells made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Middleton is 4-1 when Wells allows three or fewer earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Wells was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cam Lenius was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2025. Grady Churchfield was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Middleton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timberline only managed two.
Middleton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Boise, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Boise has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Middleton struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Boise suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Middleton in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Brave avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
