Indian Rocks Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malia Stevens, who scored 31 points. The match was Stevens' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Atkinson, who scored 18 points.
The last time Universal Academy won on the road was back on Thursday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.7 points per game. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Universal Academy will head out on the road to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will be playing at home against St. Petersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully St. Petersburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
