After four games on the road, High Point is heading back home. They will take on the Suitland Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully High Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, High Point took a serious blow against Bowie, falling 81-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for High Point in their matchups with Bowie: they've now lost nine in a row.
High Point's loss came about despite a quality game from Ibrahim Turay, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadan Solomonraj, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Suitland entered their tilt with Parkdale with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Suitland beat Parkdale on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 58-54.
High Point's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Suitland, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
High Point was taken down by Suitland 78-34 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can High Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
