The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Empire 75-11 on the road. That 64 points margin sets a new team best for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy this season.
Among those leading the charge was Tabitha Orr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Sedona Dietrich was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Empire struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Pusch Ridge Christian Academy racked up 20 assists.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Empire, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on the road again on Monday and play against Florence at 5:30 p.m. on January 15th. As for Empire, they will face off against Palo Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Palo Verde comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
