The Round Valley Elks entered their tilt with the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Round Valley came out on top against Blue Ridge by a score of 24-14 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Round Valley also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Round Valley was led to victory by Gauge Baker and Ryker Marble. Baker rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while Marble rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Blue Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Karlo Harris rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Round Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Blue Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Round Valley will challenge American Leadership Academy - West Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy - West Foothills will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Blue Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is ranked 69th, while Blue Ridge is ranked 73rd).
