Last Saturday, Campbell County faced the Plainsmen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Campbell County strolled past the Plainsmen with points to spare, taking the game 61-45.
Campbell County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Kuhbacher led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kuhbacher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Onna Castellanos, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, East can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Natrona County 51-29. The score was close at the half, but East pulled away in the second half with 33 points.
Campbell County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for East, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
