The Williams Field Black Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Perry Pumas at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Williams Field is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Williams Field picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They put the hurt on Desert Mountain with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Jaxin Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Ryder Kowalczyk also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Williams Field hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Mountain struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Perry faced Valley Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Perry fell just short of Valley Christian by a score of 11-10. The Pumas' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Rowen Noreus was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Perry got a massive performance out of Luke Calendo, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Lou Berg was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Williams Field picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 8-2. As for Perry, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 9-2.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Williams Field hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Perry struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Williams Field suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Perry in their previous meeting back in March of 2015. Can Williams Field avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
