Squalicum will challenge Meadowdale on the road at 5:00 PM on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Squalicum and Meadowdale will really light up the scoreboard.
Squalicum put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Saturday. They took the match and then some with a 49-0 win over Marysville Getchell. The success made it back-to-back wins for Squalicum.
Meanwhile, Meadowdale took their contest against Edmonds-Woodway by a conclusive 41-20 score. Meadowdale were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Meadowdale to 2-2 and Squalicum to 4-1. In their victory, Meadowdale relied heavily on junior Hunter Moen, who passed for 292 yards and 3 touchdowns. Squalicum will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
