The Robinson Knights will face off against the Plant City Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Robinson made easy work of Tampa Bay Tech and carried off a 17-7 victory.
Jasmine Welch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Isabella 'Bella' Villanti was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Dalia 'Mae' Campbell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Robinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tampa Bay Tech only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, Plant City got the win against Lakeland Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.
Rylee Mobley and Kyleigh Meiers did most of the damage at the plate: Mobley fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4, while Meiers got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Wright, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Plant City's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Robinson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Plant City struggles in that department as they've averaged .428. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
