Conrad Weiser hasn't had much luck against Hamburg recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Scouts will head out on the road to take on the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Conrad Weiser barely beat Governor Mifflin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Scouts put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 23-8 win on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Scouts as they're now sitting on three straight.
Macy Snyder was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Conrad Weiser got a massive performance out of Madison Derfler, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5. Those four runs gave Derfler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Trevena, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
Conrad Weiser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Hamburg owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They blew past Wyomissing 9-0. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The victory got Conrad Weiser back to even at 6-6. As for Hamburg, their record now sits at 11-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Conrad Weiser has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .541. However, it's not like Hamburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .509. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Conrad Weiser might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Hamburg in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Scouts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
