Even though the Elkton Golden Elks scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the C. Milton Wright Mustangs still came out on top. C. Milton Wright pulled ahead with a 67-66 photo finish over Elkton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for C. Milton Wright.
Dylan Sander was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayne Woodland, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists.
C. Milton Wright's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for Elkton, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-6.
C. Milton Wright will take on Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully C. Milton Wright focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Elkton, they will take on Edgewood at TBD on Monday. One thing working in Elkton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten contests.
