Basketball Recap: Homewood-Flossmoor Piles Up the Points Against Lincoln-Way West

Homewood-Flossmoor waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Lincoln-Way West Warriors to the tune of 80-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Homewood-Flossmoor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arden Eaves, who went 10 for 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. The game was Eaves' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Tyler, who went 8 of 15 en route to 18 points and four steals.

Homewood-Flossmoor's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.4 points per game. As for Lincoln-Way West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
