The West Columbus Vikings waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past East Bladen with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
West Columbus found their leader in underclassman Larry Graham, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Bellamy, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
West Columbus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for East Bladen, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
West Columbus will face off against South Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Columbus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for East Bladen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heide Trask at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heide Trask has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 768 points over their last 11 matchups.
