Softball Recap: Platt Comes Up Short

Platt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the Plainville Blue Devils, falling 14-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Platt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Gostkowski, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was Gostkowski's first of the season.

Platt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Plainville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Platt will square off against Wethersfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainville, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Southington at 3:45 p.m.
