The San Lorenzo Valley Cougars's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They strolled past St. Francis with points to spare, taking the game 68-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as San Lorenzo Valley also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
San Lorenzo Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Dagan led the charge by going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. Jacob Sanders was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Loss or not, St. Francis got some senior leadership from Sam Braun who scored 23 points and Joseph Rose who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Markel Parker, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Harbor the next time they take the court. St. Francis will host Harbor at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while San Lorenzo Valley will host them at 3:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
