Durham is 1-9 against Willows since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. Durham will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Durham made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Winters, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Warriors on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sadie Sjolund made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trinity Kolu, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Kyleigh Flux was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Durham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Willows suffered their biggest loss since April 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Durham, falling 11-2. The Honkers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Durham, Willows also got a great game from a two-way player: Kimberly Garrison. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). What's more, Garrison gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024. She was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
Garrison wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Morris, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Emma Cobb also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Durham's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for Willows, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Everything went Durham's way against Willows in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as Durham made off with an 11-2 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Honkers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
