The Mountain Empire Redhawks lost against the Coastal Academy Stingrays back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mountain Empire was dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of Coastal Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mountain Empire has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mountain Empire struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mountain Empire's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Coastal Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Empire will take on School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Coastal Academy, they will play host again and welcome Escondido Adventist Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
