Northwest won the last time they faced Lincoln Northwest and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp  44-18 win. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than 25  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.

Northwest found their leader in sophomore  Blake Wissing, who rushed for 78 yards and three  touchdowns, and also threw for 111 yards and one  TD. Those three  rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for  Wissing.
 Northwest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Hudson Rief,  Joesph Aguilar,  and  Zane Harb picked up one apiece. Harb has become a key player for Northwest: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  one  interception, but 2-4 otherwise.
 Although Lincoln Northwest took the loss, they still got scores from  Karsen Moore and  Jaxson Love.
The  victory made it two in a row for Northwest and  bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Lincoln Northwest,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Looking ahead, Northwest will challenge Waverly on Friday. Northwest will need to watch out since Waverly has now posted at least 31  points  in their last six games. Lincoln Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
