Holy Cross can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Texas School for the Deaf, posting a 72-27 win at home. Given Holy Cross' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 530th, while Texas School for the Deaf is ranked 1271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The Guardians posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by the Centurions at home to the tune of 66-38. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.
Holy Cross is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for the Guardians, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Holy Cross suffered a grim 78-52 defeat to John Paul II when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Holy Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
