The Potter-Dix Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 40-24 fall against Kimball. Potter-Dix was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kimball apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Potter-Dix lost, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Williamson. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six blocks. That's the first time this season that Williamson pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Kimball's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Addy Olson was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Potter-Dix has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Kimball, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potter-Dix will take on Leyton at TBD on Friday. Leyton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Kimball, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
