The First Assembly Christian Crusaders came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Evangelical Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-22 victory on the road. First Assembly Christian pushed the score to 42-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Assembly Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danae Kennedy, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Kennedy hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for ten straight games. Kamdyn Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
First Assembly Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Evangelical Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Harding Academy the next time they take the court. First Assembly Christian will head out to face the Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
