After having lost a blowout in their previous game, the Gambell King Polar Bear were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They snuck past Shaktoolik with a 66-61 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Gambell was led to victory by Jarvis Campbell-Soonagrook and Damian Campbell-Newhall. Campbell-Soonagrook scored 22 points, while Campbell-Newhall scored 26 points. Campbell-Newhall is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Gambell's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Shaktoolik, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Gambell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shaktoolik also has no future games currently scheduled.
