The Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 82-50 loss at the hands of St. Elizabeth. Maranatha Baptist Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
St. Elizabeth can attribute much of their success to Carter Otto, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Otto pulled down eight or more rebounds. Gavin Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Maranatha Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Elizabeth, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maranatha Baptist Academy will face off against Mountain Grove Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Elizabeth will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Halfway at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th.
