The Osceola Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 86-14 loss at the hands of Lakewood. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Osceola in their matchups with Lakewood: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lakewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sumayah McIntosh, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Ferguson, who scored 21 points along with seven steals.
Osceola has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Lakewood, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Lakewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Keswick Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
