The Chen Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 77-53 walloping at the hands of Life Center Academy.
Life Center Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Brown out in front who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The contest was Brown's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Al-Tariq Reevey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Chen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Life Center Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Chen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Life Center Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Patrick School at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Patrick School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Life Center Academy in New Jersey (Patrick School is ranked fifth, while Life Center Academy is ranked 186th).
