The Cheylin Cougars had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Cunningham, posting a 57-8 win on the road. Fans of Cheylin have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cheylin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan McCarty, who threw for 299 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. McCarty has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Ketzner, who picked up 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
The victory for Cheylin keeps them at an undefeated 12-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 56.08 points. As for Cunningham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
