Tristan Tate Delivers Electric Performance Vs Bessemer City
Starting off the list is Shelby's Tristan Tate, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Tate rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Tate could be in store for another big game when he takes on East Gaston on Thursday. Tate rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Elijah Goodson was instrumental in extending Burns's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Goodson as he rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
For the year, Goodson has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 63 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Norris might have his next game, a road matchup with East Gaston, circled on his calendar. Norris picked up a sack and made 18 total tackles the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

The second Burns player making an appearance here is Marshall Mcgowan, and for good reason. He rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson Heavner Dazzles in Cherryville Win
Rounding off our Top Five is Jackson Heavner of Cherryville. Heavner picked up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards.
Heavner and Cherryville will challenge Burns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Heavner up against the Bulldogs' star WR Kenyon Surratt. The only thing left to do is find out who's the greater deep ball threat. You'll have to watch the game to know for sure.
