Basketball Recap: Galva Piles Up the Points Against Ridgewood [Alwood/Cambridge]

A well-balanced attack led Galva over Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Galva Wildcats blew the Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans out of the water with a 62-30 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Galva to victory, but perhaps none more so than MJ Louck, who went 7 of 11 en route to 17 points and three steals. Louck is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Stahl, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Galva smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] still got an impressive performance from Brenden Bolduc, who posted nine points.

Galva is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Galva will head out to take on Princeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Princeville will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Galva surely won't give up without a fight. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] has already played their next contest (against Annawan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
