Masuk waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Masuk got a great performance from Henry Barba as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Barba posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chris Welch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jackson Zylick, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Masuk's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Coincidentally, Masuk and Kolbe-Cathedral will both be playing Joel Barlow the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
