The Hayden Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Moffat County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayden comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Hayden was beaten by Little Snake River 68-23. Hayden was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.
Despite the defeat, Hayden had strong showings from Dakota Munden, who scored six points, and Taryn Schlim, who scored three points along with six rebounds and five steals. Schlim has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Moffat County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Basalt on the road to the tune of 65-20. That looming 65-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Moffat County yet this season.
Moffat County can attribute much of their success to Teya Miller, who scored 17 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that Miller scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Adams, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hayden's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-7. As for Moffat County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
