On Thursday, the Bishop Kenny Crusaders faced the Bolles Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bishop Kenny secured a 46-42 W over Bolles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bishop Kenny.
Bishop Kenny was led to victory by Clare Coyle and Riley Talbert. Coyle dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Talbert scored 14 points. Sydney Roundtree was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Knauff, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Knauff hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell McCoy, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Bishop Kenny's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.17 points. As for Bolles, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Kenny will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Oakleaf at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Bolles, they will take on San Jose Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
