Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division IV recap October 29, 2013
Andale added to the longest winning streak in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division IV this week by beating Nickerson, 62-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Indians.
Andale led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on the Panthers.
Tristan Finch threw for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 21-34 with 0 interceptions.
Finch put up the best numbers through the air as Augusta bested Trinity Academy. Finch's favorite target this week was Connor Hurst, who caught 11 passes for 170 yards.
On the heels of Landon Root and Seth Carder, Collegiate has had great success on offense. Root is tops in the league in passing with 1,596 yards, while Carder has rushed for 672 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Orioles' Hurst, with 499 yards on 33 catches.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Spartans and Augusta face off next week.
Next week's game between Collegiate and Roger Robben's team will feature a good passing match up as Root will test his arm against Chaydon Carter's defensive ability.
The Orioles are currently in fifth, while Mike Gehrer's team is in third.
Augusta made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,189 from 10,328. The improvement was largely due to a 28-24 victory over the Knights last week.
