Softball Recap: Westlake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westlake waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Lacassine Cardinals as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Considering the Rams have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Westlake's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Lacassine, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Westlake has already played their next contest, a 15-7 loss against Vinton on the 13th. As for Lacassine, they will head out to challenge Bell City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lacassine has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
