The Noblesville Millers's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Zionsville Eagles on Tuesday. Noblesville claimed a resounding 67-38 win over Harrison at home. Given Noblesville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Harrison is ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Noblesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Meredith Tippner, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. Tippner hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Shoemaker, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Noblesville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Harrison, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Noblesville will take on Franklin Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for Harrison, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Muncie Central at 1:30 p.m.
