With a playoff win on the line, Crawford rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Graford Rabbits a 17-0 shutout. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Crawford has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Graford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Crawford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rabbits: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
