The Scott Skyhawks will face off against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scott will be strutting in after a win while Point Pleasant will be coming in after a defeat.
While Scott's victory against Chapmanville Regional wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Skyhawks skirted past the Tigers 6-4. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Louden White and Ryan Neal were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, White tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Neal pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At the plate, White went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Neal went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ian Prince was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Point Pleasant didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln County on Monday and fell 4-3. The Big Blacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Point Pleasant also got a good showing from Jake Lilly, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits Lilly has allowed since back in March.
At the plate, Point Pleasant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trycen Putney, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Scott's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Point Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Scott skirted past Point Pleasant 8-7 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Skyhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Blacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
