Venice's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Darryon Jones, who threw for 204 yards and one touchdown, and Tyree Mannings, who picked up 138 receiving yards. Mannings has become a key player for the Indians: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Riverview Sarasota strolled into their game on Friday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 54-14 win over IMG Academy Junior National. The Rams pushed the score to 40-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Ascenders had no chance of recovering from.
Venice better keep an eye on Isaiah Belt. He was instrumental in Riverview Sarasota's win, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Nippert, who rushed for 33 yards and one TD.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Venice has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 174.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Riverview Sarasota struggles in that department as they've been averaging 293.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
