The Hutto Hippos can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Copperas Cove a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Hutto needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
They hit Copperas Cove with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Sebastian Gonzalez,
Andy Milan,
Selvin Sevilla, and
Santiago Gonzalez-Guzman.
Hutto's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-3. As for Copperas Cove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10-2.
Hutto will head out on the road to take on Bryan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryan is coming into the match with three straight losses at home, meaning Hutto will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Copperas Cove will take on Harker Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Copperas Cove's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
