Baseball Game Preview: Bear River Bears vs. Sky View Bobcats

For the second straight game, Bear River will face off against Sky View. The Bears will welcome the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, Bear River beat Sky View 9-5. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

Thomas Summers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Oliverson, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Bear River hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matches.

Bear River's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sky View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
