The Manchester Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, falling 41-14. While losing is never fun, Manchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is ranked 209th).
Although Manchester took the loss, they still got scores from Elliott Berisford and Phillip Partin.
Even if they lost, Manchester's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ian Galloway.
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Logan Scranton, who rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry.
Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Manchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Chardon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chardon is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
