Even though Grayson County scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, Breckinridge County still came out on top. Breckinridge County strolled past Grayson County with points to spare, taking the game 75-60.
Meanwhile, Owensboro Catholic pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Evansville Memorial by a score of 63-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), Owensboro Catholic still had to take the loss.
Breckinridge County pushed their record up to 13-10 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Owensboro Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Breckinridge County came up short against Owensboro Catholic in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 73-61. Can Breckinridge County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
