The Parkview Christian Academy Falcons stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Kankakee Trinity Academy 61-21 at home. Winning may never get old, but Parkview Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Parkview Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Abby Carlyle, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Carlyle scored 15 or more points. Emily Howard was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Kankakee Trinity Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Abby Whited. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Kankakee Trinity Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Parkview Christian Academy racked up nine assists.
Parkview Christian Academy's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkview Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Schaumburg Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkview Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Donovan/St. Anne at 11:00 a.m. on February 3rd.
