The Steinbrenner Warriors lost against the Plant Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Steinbrenner lost to Plant on the road by a decisive 64-50 margin.
Despite the loss, Steinbrenner saw an underclassman step up: Avery Adams scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Danae Blacketer, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Steinbrenner's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Plant, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.
Steinbrenner is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Winter Haven at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Winter Haven will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Steinbrenner surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plant, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-51 defeat vs. Sickles on the 9th.
