The Seneca Bobcats lost to the West-Oak Warriors back in February of 2023, but the Seneca Bobcats didn't allow the West-Oak Warriors the same satisfaction on Friday. Seneca strolled past West-Oak with points to spare, taking the game 71-54. Given Seneca's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while West-Oak is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Seneca got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalen Craig out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Cam O'kelley was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
When it comes to explaining why West-Oak lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Towe. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anthony Kaliski, who scored 13 points along with eight assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Seneca and bumps their season record up to 16-4. As for West-Oak, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca will take on Crescent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for West-Oak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
