The Union County Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the Chapman Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Union County took down the Panthers 52-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Union County.
Seven Eison was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 26 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Koepke, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Chapman still got an impressive performance from Rashawn Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Cunningham has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Grayden Humphries was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Chapman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Union County's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Chapman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Union County will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapman, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Devildogs at 7:30 p.m.
