The Lincoln Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Central Catholic Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-33, which was the final score in Lincoln's tilt against Putnam on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic was beaten by Jesuit 53-20 on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Catholic in their matchups with Jesuit: they've now lost eight in a row.
This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-3.
Lincoln might still be hurting after the 50-29 defeat they got from Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in June of 2021. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
