Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Newport Harbor). They breezed past the Fountain Valley Barons to the tune of  39-0 on Monday. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Barons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
Newport Harbor was led to victory by  Scarlett Guyser and  Skylie Cid.  Guyser threw for 219 yards and six  TDs while completing 81.2% of her passes, while  Cid picked up 118 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Those  219  passing yards gave  Guyser a new career-high.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Newport Harbor's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Aliyah Chappell and  Cid, who racked up  five sacks between them.
Newport Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Fountain Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newport Harbor will  challenge  rival Marina  at 5:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fountain Valley is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Huntington Beach  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
