Foundation Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anai Braxton out in front who went 7-for-13 on her way to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Braxton is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Chmielinski, who posted 11 points along with six assists and four steals.
Foundation Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Despite the loss, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Stephanie Morales earned 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 40.6% of the Explorers' points, marking the third time in a row Morales has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Flynn, who scored six points.
Foundation Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11.
